Temple Beth Abraham Sisterhood
Friend,
Temple Beth Abraham’s Sisterhood hopes to welcome you to our membership!
We are a group of women of all ages who believe in the value of community and are committed to learning together, serving our synagogue, and preserving our traditions for the generations to come.
We are women for whom Judaism is a living and breathing entity. More than a set of values and religious practices, it is a central grounding force in our lives. We seek to provide a welcoming environment for women like you to meet and grow friendships, serve our synagogue, study and learn. We hope to help you explore your identity as a Jewish woman.
In the last year, Temple Beth Abraham’s Sisterhood has prepared food to serve after each Shabbat and holiday service, provided shiva luncheons for grieving families, and welcomed babies born in our community with handmade kippot. We have served our wider community by volunteering at the Nashua Soup Kitchen, and organizing events to raise funds to support women and children in Nashua, and the non-profits that serve them. We have taken responsibility for ensuring all coffee and chocolate in the TBA kitchen is certified Fair Trade, and have a vital composting program.
We have held events in response to our membership’s interests: Virtual cooking shows, virtual coffee hours, programming on Women and Voting, and our bi-annual Mah Jongg Tournament. We maintain the TBA Judaica shop that offers a convenient, local source of Judaica and gifts, as well.
Your membership dues go towards supporting all of this and more. We hope you will follow
this link to submit your dues and donations. Members enjoy reduced admission prices for all Sisterhood events and access to our annual paid-up and end-of-year event. Temple Beth Abraham’s Sisterhood is affiliated with the Women’s League for Conservative Judaism.
We look forward to welcoming you into our Sisterhood!
