Ongoing Jewish mindfulness meditation community guided by Laura Hegfield.

We meet on alternate Shabbat mornings via Zoom from 9:15 – 9:45 a.m. to explore wisdom and inspiration found in the weekly Torah portion, engaging our bodies, minds, hearts and souls through a chant, a short teacher, and meditation. See the calendar for the schedule.

We practice mindfulness to cultivate patience, holy listening, peace and wholeness as we learn to see the truth of each moment just as it is. By observing the inner workings and habits of our hearts and minds, we are able to see more clearly and make wiser choices that impact all of our relationships; with ourselves, with other people, the earth, and the Holy Blessed One dwelling with and within us.

All are welcome! No previous meditation practice/experience required.

Laura Hegfield has been serving the TBA community as an educator in one capacity or another since 2001. She received her certification as a Jewish Mindfulness Meditation Teacher through the Institute for Jewish Spirituality (IJS) was certified as a Yoga and Jewish Spirituality Teacher by Rabbi Myriam Klotz and Diane Bloomfield. Laura is also an engaged member of the IJS Hevraya and the Embodied Jewish Learning/Wisdom Network.
