High Holy Days 2018/5779

The High Holy Days will be here before we know it! Rosh Hashanah begins on the evening of Sunday, September 9 and continues through Tuesday, September 11. Yom Kippur begins on the evening of Tuesday, September 18 and continues through Wednesday, September 19.

This fall, for the major services we have both Main Sanctuary Services and a new Family, Learning Service for All Ages which meets in the Great Room of our Religious School. Main services are led by Rabbi Jon Spira-Savett, Cantor Stan Juda, David Sacks, and other participants including our Zimria choir. The new experience is led by Eliana Light, award-winning and nationally-known songwriter and Jewish educator. Our schedule is:

Rosh Hashanah First Evening: Sunday, Sept. 9
8:00 p.m. Main Sanctuary

Rosh Hashanah First Day: Monday, Sept. 10
9:00 a.m.                Main Sanctuary begins
10:00-11:30 a.m.     Family Learning Service
Approx. 2:00 p.m.    Tashlich ceremony at the Nashua River downtown

Rosh Hashanah Second Evening: Monday, Sept. 10
7:30 p.m. Main Sanctuary

Rosh Hashanah Second Day: Tuesday, Sept. 11
9:00 a.m.                Main Sanctuary begins
10:00-11:30 a.m.     Family Learning Service
4:00-4:45 p.m.        Songs and storytelling with Eliana Light for families of children below school age

Yom Kippur Evening -- Kol Nidre: Tuesday, Sept. 18
6:15-8:15 p.m.         Main Sanctuary
6:15-7:15 p.m.         Family Service

Yom Kippur Day
9:00 a.m.                Main Sanctuary begins
