The High Holy Days are coming soon! Rosh Hashanah begins on the evening of Wednesday, September 20 and continues through Friday, September 22. Yom Kippur begins on the evening of Friday, September 29 and continues through Saturday, September 30.

Here is a glossary of some Jewish concepts, greetings, and other terminology related to the month of Elul, Rosh Hashanah, and Yom Kippur.
To sign up for babysitting for ages 0-5 for the mornings anytime from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., click here and e-mail your name, your child/childrens' name(s), your phone, and any allergy information.
Service schedule for Rosh Hashanah
Rosh Hashanah Evening: Wednesday, Sept. 20 at 8:00 p.m.
Rosh Hashanah First Day: Thursday, Sept. 21
Morning Services at 9:00 a.m.
Evening Services at 7:30 p.m.
Rosh Hashanah Second Day: Friday, Sept. 22
Morning Services at 9:00 a.m.
Children and teens are welcome with you in the main service any time. In addition, beginning at 10:00 a.m. are services and discussions for children and teens. Teens join the adults during the rabbi's sermon. Younger children join for the Shofar around 11:45 a.m. on Rosh Hashanah, and after Yizkor on Yom Kippur after for Shofar on Yizkor (approximately 12/12:15 p.m.).

Grades 7-9 and 10-12 discussion in Religious School building across the street from the main synagogue building

Yom Kippur Evening ("Kol Nidre"): Friday, Sept. 29 at 6:00 p.m.
Yom Kippur Day: Saturday, Sept. 30
Morning begins 9:00 a.m., Afternoon begins 4:45 p.m., End of the fast about 7:15 p.m.
