Our regular Thursday morning study group with Noreen Leibson and Rabbi Jon will spend two sessions exploring the biblical book of Esther. A book without mention of God or explict descriptions of religion; a book with strong female characters; a book of chance and randomness, purpose and destiny; a book of hidden and unmasked identities; a book of anti-Semitism and community. No Hebrew or any prior knowledge needed. We read and take the conversation where it takes us!
