Most of you know Alan Green as a fixture here at TBA, but did you know that he is a board-certified OB/GYN physician, moved to Nashua in 1977 and practiced here for 35 years, before retiring in 2012. He was certified as a mohel in 1987 and still actively performs brisses. In 2013, he became a volunteer mikveh guide at Mayyim Hayyim Community Mikveh in Newton and in his role as a mohel has been involved in many conversions at Mayyim Hayyim. Alan wil be speaking about: Jewish rituals regarding birth of boys (bris and pidyon ha-ben) and the role of a mohel in conversion of males to Judaism, including: Why we do brisses; Requirements to be a mohel; Medical, surgical, religious aspects of circumcision; Bris ceremony; Bris for men or boys converting to Judaism and Pidyon ha-ben.

As always, we kick off breakfast at 9:30am. If you have not had the opportunity to attend a Men’s Club breakfast recently, our kitchen crew will be preparing a sumptuous feast of eggs, potatoes, bagels, lox and whitefish salad with accompanying veggies, fruit, juice, coffee and tea. The cost for breakfast is $8.00 for Men’s Club members and $12 for non-members. For more information, and to RSVP for breakfast (please), email breakfastrsvp@snhjmc.org.
