Heartsaver CPR and AED Training

Tuesday, February 4 or Sunday, February 9

Heartsaver CPR*/AED** training is being offered to the TBA membership by an American Heart Association certified educator. Two training methods are available: One course involves blended learning leveraging both on-line and in-person training and the second method involves only classroom training.

Heartsaver CPR/AED is geared for anyone with limited or no medical training. After successful completion of the training you will earn a Heartsaver CPR AED card which is valid for two years. The course also covers how to relieve choking in adults, children, and infants.

Blended learning involves both an online portion followed by a hands-on skill session. Heartsaver CPR AED Online is the e-learning portion of the Heartsaver CPR AED blended learning course and teaches information needed for CPR and AED training. Upon completion of the online portion, students must print their certificate of completion and bring it on Tuesday evening February 4, 6:00-7:30 p.m. in order to participate in the hands-on skill session. It is estimated that the online training portion can be completed in approximately 1¾ hours.

Classroom only training does not involve any online training and will take place Sunday morning February 9, 9:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. This course is instructor-led course that teaches adult, child, and infant CPR and AED use.

All in-person training is provided by American Heart Association (AHA) certified-instructor.
